وتحدث مجدي أبو فريخة مع رئيس لجنة الحكام حول أسماء الحكام الأجانب المقرر الاستعانة بهم لإدارة نهائيات دوري السوبر رجال وسيدات نهاية الأسبوع الجاري.

وأكد كارل جينكبراند أن الحكام الأجانب المقرر الاستعانة بهم سيكونون على مستوى عالٍ من الكفاءة والخبرة وهو ما يتوافق مع رؤية وطلب الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة.

وأشاد رئيس لجنة الحكام بالاتحاد الدولي “فيبا” بمستوى التحكيم المصري خلال السنوات الأخيرة الماضية والذي كان نتيجته الاستعانة بعدد من الحكام المصريين في بطولات العالم المختلفة بجانب بطولة كأس العالم المقبلة للرجال لأول مرة منذ سنوات عديدة.

Mahela Jayawardene has said it was the television broadcaster’s choice of close-up replays that led Sri Lanka’s team management to raise concerns with the match referee that Australia’s players were allegedly tampering with the ball in Hobart.Australia’s players were since absolved by Broad. In a statement issued after the Test, Broad said that match officials had reviewed the footage and monitored the state of the ball, and had not found any evidence to suggest the condition of the ball had been changed.Jayawardene said Sri Lanka’s management simply reacted to close-up footage of Siddle’s grip on the ball from the broadcaster. “[The ball tampering concerns] weren’t from our management,” he said. “It was something that was shown on television and that was it. We just wanted to make sure that the officials saw what we saw on television. We never made any official complaint about it. We just moved on. It’s up to the officials to see if anything happened and if so, take action. If not, move on.”For the TV guys to zoom in and stop, obviously they saw something funny. Otherwise, we had five days of Test cricket and nothing else was shown. It’s up to the officials to find out, even from the TV guys, to see whether there was something funny happening, and if that is the reason that they showed it. Otherwise they don’t have to show something like that on national television where millions of people are watching this match. That’s what prompted us to find out what was going on. Like I said, we don’t have any proof. We didn’t see it happen.”After the match, Siddle was adamant the footage had been misinterpreted. Siddle took 9 for 104 in the Test and was the Man of the Match. “I wake up in the morning, I thought today if I ran out there and ball-tampered in front of 15 cameras and a lot of people watching the game I will get away with it?” Siddle said. “That is a ridiculous statement. Why would I want to jeopardise that when I know we can go out there and do everything in the spirit of the game and win. That’s how we play and we always play. There’s nothing to it at all.”Australia captain Michael Clarke backed Siddle and emphasised his team’s commitment to playing fairly. “At the end of the day, the ICC have made it very clear there was nothing there,” Clarke said. “I 100% believe we always play in the spirit of the game. I don’t think any of the Australian players would ever jeopardise that or do anything to ruin our reputation. We play hard on the field but we understand there is a line you can’t cross and we play the right way.”Jayawardene also said Sri Lanka would be dismayed if the match officials had not at least raised the issue with the Australian team. Broad’s statement said he had spoken with Australia coach Mickey Arthur during the tea interval of day three, soon after the close-up shots of Siddle’s grip had caused concern in the Sri Lanka camp.”The easiest thing for them to have done is to at least have a chat with the Aussie management or the captain and see what happened,” Jayawardene said. “If they haven’t done that, we’d be a bit sad about it. That’s the minimum requirement. Everyone saw on television, what they zoomed in on. It’s not that just we saw something, it was on television.”When told that match officials had not found any evidence upon which to lay charges, Jayawardene said he was fine with their findings and was happy to move on. “The teams will fight it out there in the field – there’s no love lost in that. Off the field we are pretty good friends and the players can have an unofficial chat about it. It’s not that big a deal. I think they’ve got the talent to win matches without doing those kinds of things.”

يرى مدافع الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ليفربول، فيرجيل فان دايك، أن زميله وهداف الريدز، محمد صلاح، لم يحصل بعد على التقدير الذي يستحقه وفقًا للأرقام القياسية التي حققها في السنوات الماضية.

All through the last week, Sana Mir hadn’t been her usual, jovial self. One could sense that the Pakistan captain was feeling a bit insecure. Her team’s failures in the Women’s World Cup, combined with the political drama that threatened Pakistan’s participation in the marquee event seemed to be taking its toll.When Mir walked in to the enclosure after Pakistan’s loss to India in the seventh place play-off in what was to be her last media appearance, she was looking relaxed for a change. The smile was back, by her own admission, due to curtains falling over what was a “tense” tour.”Yes [I am relieved]. I can say that now because it was one of the toughest tours I have ever played in. Everything – like my own performance, my team’s performance and the whole situation – it was one of the toughest tournaments,” Mir said.”It’s[a] mixed [feeling]. It has been tough. But we have seen a lot of people supporting us, especially all the people at the Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) Academy and the OCA staff in the dressing room. They all have helped us a lot. Had it been against any other team, I would have had to lift the girls a lot.”They always look forward to playing against India, because we don’t get to play too many games against them. They were motivated and they showed it in the ground today,” Mir said.Mir drew positives in the “bowlers’ performances”, and also hoped for more international matches against better teams in future. “I think we have arranged for some tournaments in June and I hope before that we will get to play some matches. We have got two one-dayers and two T20s with England and then Ireland before we play the World T20 qualifiers. But we would like to have some more T20 internationals before we go to the qualifiers,” she said.

O alívio do Juventude ao ganhar por 1 a 0 do Atlético-GO em Goiânia e sair da zona de rebaixamento da Série B era notável até mesmo nas palavras dos atletas no pós-jogo.

O lateral-direito Felipe Mattioni confirmou esse sentimento e afirmou que a necessidade absoluta de conseguir uma vitória para se afastar do tão temido Z4 é o principal responsável dessa sensação:

-Sem dúvida essa vitória sobre o Atlético foi uma das mais importantes do ano para a nossa equipe pela necessidade que tínhamos do resultado positivo. Todos estão de parabéns pela luta e entrega durante os noventa minutos e pelos três pontos, que vão motivar bastante o grupo para a sequência da temporada.

Porém, ao mesmo tempo, Mattioni é cauteloso pensando nas rodadas seguintes da segunda divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro e entende que o cenário ainda exige com que ele e seus companheiros de Juventude encarem as partidas como “finais”:

علق ماريو مارينكا المدير الفني لمنتخب مالاوي على الهزيمة خلال مباراة اليوم أمام مصر ضمن منافسات التصفيات المؤهلة لكأس أمم إفريقيا 2023.

واستطاع لاعبو منتخب مصر الفوز بنتيجة 2-0 على حساب مالاوي سجلهما محمد صلاح وعمر مرموش في الجولة الثالثة من مرحلة المجموعات.

وقال ماريو مارينكا في تصريحات خلال المؤتمر الصحفي عقب المباراة: “مصر قوة كبيرة وكنت أتمنى ألا نستقبل هدفًا مبكرًا، ولكن هذا لم يحدث”.

وتابع: “فلسفتي في كل مباراة هي الفوز، والأداء في الشوط الأول كان سيئًا جدًا، وفي الشوط الثاني كنا أفضل، وأتمنى أن نشكل ضغطًا على مصر في مباراة الإياب”.

وأردف: “لم يحالفني الحظ في خوض وديات قبل مواجهة مصر ولا يوجد أي انسجام وترابط بين اللاعبين، وهذا ظهر في الشوط الأول، ولكن الوضع أصبح أفضل في الشوط التاني، ومنتخبات الصف الأول مثل مصر والسنغال والمغرب إذا تركت لهم المساحة سيعاقبونك وهذا ما حدث”.

وأجاب مدرب مالاوي على مراسل بطولات.. هل فارق القيمة التسويقية مؤثر؟: “هناك فارق كبير في القيمة التسويقية بين مصر ومالاوي، لنرى قيمة لاعبي الفراعنة ولاعبي مالاوي، سأحاول تقليل الفوارق في لقاء الإياب، وحاولت التسجيل في القاهرة ولكن لم نستطع”.

Kevin Pietersen has said it would be “brilliant for the game” if West Indies recalled Chris Gayle for the remainder of the Test series against England.Gayle has not played Test cricket since December 2010 following a much documented fall out with the WICB. But, with both sides having moved to patch up some of their differences and Gayle’s involvement with the 2012 IPL season now over – his team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, have been eliminated despite Gayle being the leading run-scorer in the round-robin stages – it has raised the possibility that he could be recalled to the Test squad although Darren Sammy was cagey on the matter.West Indies, suffering from some brittle top-order batting and a lack of depth in their bowling, lost the first Test at Lord’s by five wickets. Gayle, with more than 6,000 Test runs and over 70 Test wickets, could strengthen both departments.”It will be brilliant for the game if he comes back to play this Test match,” Pietersen said. “He is an entertainer. People want to watch entertainers. They don’t want to watch people blocking the ball. They want to watch entertainers. He is one of those people that people will pay their money to watch him play and if he comes back that could be brilliant for the series. He is a superstar and he is one of my real good mates in cricket. I love the way he plays.”From an England viewpoint, Pietersen expressed his delight in Andrew Strauss’ return to form. Strauss made his first Test century since November 2010 at Lord’s though Pietersen insisted he never doubted the England captain.”The wheel was going to turn at some point and it turned at Lord’s,” Pietersen said at a Chance to Shine event. “It’s brilliant for English cricket. I have been through a period where I didn’t score a hundred for a while. It just turns and since then I have scored I don’t know how many hundreds. Strauss is a fantastic guy and I was more happy for him scoring that hundred than I have been for any other team-mate when they have scored a hundred. I loved the fact that he did that.”Somebody’s going to get it from the media at one stage in the month or the year. That’s just what happens in our job. So long as you just accept that and understand that and concentrate on the ball as a batter, or the areas you bowl as a bowler, then everything’s fine. You just have to park that to one side and just do your job. But the wheel turns for everyone. Everyone should notice that by now.”Pietersen also suggested that the “cricketing world” will be eagerly anticipating England’s forthcoming Test series against South Africa later in the season. It will be contest to decide the No. 1 Test team in the world if England go on and complete victory over West Indies.”We are going to have to play very good cricket because the South African team is a very strong cricketing unit with some fantastic players,” Pietersen said. “We will have to play really positive cricket too at every opportunity. I think the cricketing world will be looking forward to that South Africa series.”
